The inaugural festival 2012 edition will launch in November to a large audience of officials (representatives of the Ministry of  Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Home...), as well as guests and public at the Cox’s Bazar Cultural Center with maximum 5 hotel auditoriums.

INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF FILM AND MEDIA (IAFM) is an academic institution that is working to create an opportunity of employment for the participant as well as enable them to work independently and efficiently. It will hopefully help those are searching for jobs in Media Industry in Bangladesh.

The current development of the electronic media and broadcasting in Bangladesh has greatly expanded the scope of people’s entertainment, information and education. The electronic media is now playing a significant role in raising social awareness and bringing about a positive change in people’s outlook and ideas.

Maheshkhali is a small island (268 square kilometres) off the Cox’s Bazar coast.

The island offers panoramic scenic beauty and is covered by a range of low hills, about 300 feet (91 m) high, streatches through the center of the island and along its eastern coastline. The coasts of the island on the west and north form a low-lying tract that is fringed by the mangrove forests. Adinath Temple, a temple of Shiva, and a Buddhist pagoda are also located on this island.

The Town

Located along the Bay of Bengal in South Eastern Bangladesh, Cox's Bazar Town is a very big port and health resort. But it is mostly famous for its long natural sandy beach. The municipality covers an area of 6.85 km² with 27 mahallas and 9 wards and has a population of 51,918. Cox's Bazar is connected by road and air with Chittagong.

Cox’s Bazar, the world’s longest natural sandy sea beach with its incredible 125 km length, and most visited tourist destinations in Bangladesh.

It is also a modern town; well known fishing port and a district headquarter in Bangladesh.It is a district in the Chittagong Division of Bangladesh near the border of Myanmar. The town is located 150 kilometer south of Chittagong. Due to lack of development, publicity and mismanagement; the spot has so far to become a most desirable international tourist destination in Asia. Cox’s Bazar now is competing to get top for “New 7 Wonders of Nature”.
